Terms of Service

Welcome to Cysigns! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cysigns web application (the "Service"). Cysigns is an application designed to help users learn about road rules in Cyprus, offering guidelines, tips, and quizzes.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

1. Description of Service

Cysigns provides users with:

Educational content including guidelines and tips about Cyprus road rules and road signs.
A quiz feature to test knowledge of Cyprus road signs.
Free access to a limited number of quizzes per day.
For Pro users, unlimited quiz attempts, progress tracking, and access to a leaderboard.

2. User Accounts

Registration: To access certain features of the Service, including unlimited quizzes and progress tracking, you must register for an account. User authentication is handled via Google, Apple or a one-time email code. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any breach of security or unauthorized use.
Account Types:
- Free Users: Users who have not bought Pro may access a limited number of quizzes per day. This limit is currently set to one (1) quiz attempt per day for guests and two (2) quiz attempts per day for registered users.
- Pro Users: Users who made the one-time payment gain access to premium features, including unlimited quiz attempts, progress tracking, and leaderboard access.

3. Payments, Pro access and the pass guarantee

Payment processing: We use Stripe to process payments. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
One-time purchase: Pro costs €5.99, paid once. It is not a subscription and you are never charged again.
Pro access: Pro does not expire. We call it "access until you pass" because CySigns is built to get you through the Cyprus theory test. Your access continues after you pass.
Paying without an account: If you pay without being signed in, we create a CySigns account for the email address you enter at checkout and add Pro to it. Sign in with that email to use Pro.
Free trial: New accounts get 48 hours of Pro features for free. No payment details are needed and nothing is charged when the trial ends.
Pass guarantee: We refund your €5.99 if all of the following are true: (a) you bought Pro; (b) before your official theory test, your CySigns readiness score reached at least 85%; (c) you did not pass the official Cyprus driving theory test; and (d) within 30 days of your test date you email us at 08_megabit.darts@icloud.com from the email address on your CySigns account, with proof of the result (for example a photo of the result slip or the official notification). We check (b) against our records of your quiz activity. One refund per person and per purchase. The refund goes to the original payment method, and Pro access ends when we issue it.
Other refunds: Apart from the pass guarantee, payments are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service:

In any way that violates laws or regulations.
To exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors.
To transmit advertising or promotional material, including spam.
To impersonate Cysigns, employees, other users, or any third party.
To engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits others' use, or may harm Cysigns or users.
To attempt to circumvent access restrictions (e.g., quiz limits).
To interfere with or disrupt the Service's integrity or performance.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Content: The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are and will remain the exclusive property of CySigns and its licensors. This includes text, graphics, logos, images (such as road sign images used in quizzes), software, and the "quiz_questions" data.
User-Generated Content: If the Service allows user content, you grant us a license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute it in any media. You warrant that you own or have rights to your content and that its use does not violate this policy or cause harm.

6. Quiz System

Free Quizzes: Free users are subject to a daily limit. Attempting to bypass this limit is prohibited.
Pro Quizzes: Pro users have unlimited access.
Integrity: You agree to participate honestly and without cheating or manipulating scores.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important. Our collection and use of your personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Use at your own risk. We do not warrant content accuracy, availability, or the absence of viruses. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted, Cysigns and its affiliates are not liable for any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service, including indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for breaches of these Terms, without prior notice. You may discontinue use or contact us for account deletion. Provisions surviving termination include ownership, warranties, and liabilities.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Your continued use signifies acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Cyprus law. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement.
