Driving schools in Cyprus

For a car (category B), you need at least 10 lessons at a licensed driving school before the practical test. The rule applies to practical tests from 14 September 2026, and the school gives you a training certificate to bring on test day. That is the minimum, and most learners need more lessons to be ready.

Of the 84 schools in our directory, 28 list lessons in English and 4 in Russian. Some listings have no language details yet, so ask the school before you sign up. When you request lessons through CySigns, you choose the lesson language.

Pick a school near where you will take the test, so you practise on the same roads. Call and ask about the lesson price and length, the car and gearbox, the languages the instructor teaches in and the cost of using the school's car on test day. If you learn in an automatic, your licence will be limited to automatic cars. The mandatory lessons rule is the same for both. Ask the school which gearbox its cars have.

You need at least 5 more lessons at a driving school and must wait at least one month before you take the test again.
